Superb Early Ash and Elm Windsor Chair

A superb early Victorian ash and elm Windsor chair with bobbin turned arm supports and makers mark C.1830. Bentwood elm back and arms with railed back and wheel decorated centre splat. Unusual bobbin turned arm supports to the front. The moulded figured ash seat sat on well turned legs supported by a H stretcher. Bears the makers initials 'B O' To the rear edge of the seat, probably from the Uxbridge area. Superb colour and original patina, very comfortable and useable. Measures 21.5" wide x 41.5" high to top of the back x 18" deep x 17" seat height. Stock number 36036.
