A Superb Antique oil on canvas by highly regarded artist,Talbot Hughes(1869-1942). 'The Music Room'.Painted in the French Classical style, typical of Hughes in historical costume. Signed and dated 1891 to the lower right. In a plaster & timber gilt swept frame. Measures 22" x 18" framed & 17" x 13.5" canvas. * Talbot Hughes born in Chelsea, London, son of still life artist, William Hughes. He painted historical scenes, landscapes, still life and portraits.
