Superb Antique Leather and Brass Trimmed Trunk
A superb antique leather trunk with brass fittings and locks in outstanding condition C.1920. Mid brown grained hide covering over a solid timber construction with contrasting tan leather studded bindings to the corners. Brass corners reinforcements and side straps fastened with domed top copper studs. Matching stud work to the leather band on the edge of the lid. Spring loaded opening locks to the front and cast brass drop carry handles to the sides with copper stud fastenings. Hinged opening top, opens to reveal an original red cotton lined interior in very clean condition. Wonderful origina...l patina and polish to the brass ware. Very heavy. Ideal as a lamp table or bedside chest. Measures 21" wide x 21" deep x 24" high. Stock number 34339.
