Superb 17th Century Alms Dish
A superb 17th Century brass alms dish with embossed sunflower decoration c.1690. Formed as a dish with flat rim to the outer edge, which includes polished engraved decoration; the hand formed interior with an embossed stylised sunflower to the base. Superb patination and original colour to the exterior with a later applied hanging loop to the back to allow wall hanging. Superb condition with no damage or wear and a rich polish. Measures 15" diameter x 3.5" deep. Stock number 42244.
