A stylish mid Victorian burr walnut serpentine fronted gaming table on carved pedestal c.1870. The book matched burr walnut veneered top with serpentine front and moulded edge. Sat over a matching ...shaped burr veneered apron with floral carved decoration set to the centre. The turned column pedestal and moulded leg tripod base with matching carved decoration, and original brass and porcelain castors to the feet. The top which folds over and revolves to make a square table with serpentine sides, opens to reveal a circular green baized interior. Ideal as a gaming table or as a compact side table. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 35" wide x 18" maximum depth x 28" high. 35" square when open. Stock number 38352.
