A stylish high quality Regency period reclining Library arm chair by Robert Daws of London c.1830. Superb stylish fiddle back mahogany frame with scroll work open arms, release buttons underneath to r...ecline the back on a ratchet design system. Pull out foot rest to the base of the seat. Sat on turned legs with original large wheel brass castors. The frame stamped by the maker, Robert Daws was recorded making in Square Cavendish Square, London between 1820 and 1839 and patented his reclining chair in 1827. This example in excellent sturdy condition with good colour and polish, upholstered to a high standard in a dark brown quality hide. Measures 21" wide x 30" deep x 35.5" high. Foot rest pulls out 20". Stock number 37103.
