A Stunning William & Mary period figured walnut fall front escritoire.c.1700. Superb fitted interior with centre cupboard flanked by small drawers and sliding pigeon holes above. Secret compartments behind the drawers, sliding well to the base. Lift up leather writing surface to the centre. Two short over two long drawers with original gilded fittings. Standing on turned bun feet. Shaped pediment to the top with long drawer and secret drawer above. Book matched veneers and herring bone cross banded throughout. Superb colour, condition and patina. Measures 43" x 20.5"deep x 67"high
