Small William and Mary Walnut Chest
A small proportioned William & Mary walnut chest of drawers with bun feet and engraved backplate fittings c.1700. The book matched figured walnut top with cross-banded and moulded edges. Two over two drawer formation, each drawer with veneers to match the top, double cock-beaded mouldings forming the frame in between. Moulded base rail with bun feet below, matching figured veneers to the sides. A difficult to find smaller sized chest in superb condition with a mellow colour and deep polish. Measures 34" wide x 18" deep x 30" high. Stock number 40260.
