Small proportioned Victorian Burr Walnut Chest with Brushing Slide
A high quality and stylish small proportioned mid Victorian burr walnut bow fronted chest of drawers with brushing slide c.1870. Quarter veneered burr walnut top with crossbanded and moulded edge sat over four graduated drawers. Pull out brushing slide with solid polished oak writing surface set below the top; the drawers with book matched veneers and crossbanded edges to match the top. Swept apron to the base, repeated on the sides and incorporating the bracket feet. Original polished brass knobs and matching backplates, with inset brass lock escutcheons. Superb mellow colour and... deep polish, presented in immaculate condition. Measures 23.5" wide x 18.5" maximum depth x 29.5" high. Stock number 41640.
