Small George II Red Walnut Bachelors Chest
A fine quality small proportioned George II period red walnut bachelors chest with fold over top and original brassware c.1750. Figured solid timber top with moulded edge to the side...s and rear, folding over and opening out to form a writing surface. Two over three drawers to the front with timbers to match the top, pull out loppers either side of the top drawers to support the surface. Sat on a moulded base with bracket feet below and original concealed castors to the underside; figured timber sides and oak drawer linings. Original brass fittings and steel locks, presented in immaculate original condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 30" wide x 12" deep x 31. 5" high. Stock number 40142.
