A small proportioned George II period oak coffer with two panels and drawer to the base C.1740. Lifting hinged lid with original hook and eye hinges. Two moulded edge panels to the front with decorat...ive diamond shaped carved boss to the centre of each. Moulded edge full width drawer below sat on a moulded edge plinth with small feet. Opens to reveal a clean interior with locking bolt to secure the base drawer. Decorative brass pear drop handles and fretted lock escutcheon. Superb deep golden colour with original patina. Measures 15.5" high x 26.5" wide x 17" deep.
