Silver Stamp and Envelope Moistener
An Edwardian solid silver framed cut crystal stamp and envelope moistner in superb condition, hallmarked Birmingham 1907. The solid silver frame with fretted decoration to all four sides, flange to the underside to hold the crystal well in place; small cabriole legs set to each corner. The internal crystal well with removeable crystal roller that revolves as the stamp or envelope is run over the top moistening the glue, space below the roller for the water. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Sydney & Co along with clear hallmarks. Presented in superb condition with a deep... shine and excellent crystal ware. Measures 3.5" wide x 2.25" deep x 2.5" high. Stock number 41525.
