A fine quality Victorian solid silver vesta case with 9ct solid gold engraved medallion to the front, hallmarked Birmingham 1886. The oblong solid silver case with rounded corners and sides for comfort in the pocket, match striker to the base and hanging loop to the side. The front of the case decorated with an applied solid 9ct gold medallion, which is superbly engraved with floral design. Snap top lid, opens to reveal a clean interior. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths A & J Zimmerman along with clear hallmarks, the solid 9ct rose gold cabochon tested as gold. Pre...sented in immaculate condition with a deep shine.
