A fine quality Regency brass inlaid rosewood sewing box with original fitted interior c.1825. The rosewood veneered box with superb quality brass inlays and stringing to all surfaces, ribbed mouldi...ngs to the top and base plinth with original bun feet sat below. The hinged lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior with red silk to the lid and covering the padded covers to the compartments of the lift out fitted tray. Storage compartment to the base, compete with original mother of pearl handled instruments and period sewing related items.
