Regency Mahogany Stick Barometer

A Regency period mahogany stick barometer with engraved silvered scale by Edward Davies of Shrewsbury c.1825. The slender mahogany case with architectural pediment to the top and glazed door covering the scale set below. The trunk of the case with moulded edges and feathered book matched veneers; turned 'onion' cistern cover to the base. The silvered scale with original mercury action thermometer set to the side and vernier marker to the barometer tube.
