Regency Mahogany Gillow Style Bookcase
A fine quality late Regency figured mahogany two door bookcase or side cabinet in the manner of Gillows with adjustable shelf c.1830. Constructed in solid figured mahogany timber throughout including the back and shelf. The top with moulded edge and rounded corners, two panelled doors below with brass flange to the centre. Rounded corners either side, each with defined reeded inset decoration and apron foot to the base. The doors opening with original working lock and key to reveal a single adjustable shelf interior for storing books or general storage. Superb quality and ori...ginal condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 36" wide x 16" deep x 33" high. Stock number 39339.
