Regency Mahogany Framed Occasional Sofa
A fine quality Regency period mahogany framed occasional sofa with superb carved railed back c.1825. The carved railed back with twin inverted bowed section each with reeded rails and carved fan mounts. Moulded frame surrounding the rails with square crests to the top and moulded arms set to the sides. Bow fronted seat with show frame and three tapering legs capped with brass castors to the front, splayed legs to the rear. The webbed seat fully reupholstered in neutral pure wool Abraham Moon fabric with piped edges. Very comfortable and useable, presented in immaculate condition with a deep sh...ine. Measures 43" wide x 20" deep x 35.5" high to top of the back x 17.5" seat height. Stock number 38038.
