Regency Flame Mahogany Dolland of London Stick Barometer

A fine Regency antique flame mahogany stick barometer, made by Dolland of London c.1825. Silvered engraved scale bearing the maker's name. Visible tube with vernier marker to the top. Matching thermometer scale with mercury action thermometer. Fine flame mahogany case with line ebony stringing to the edges. Arched top and turned cistern cover to the base. Full working order. Excellent condition. Measures 4.5" wide x 2" deep x 38" long. * Peter & George Dolland instrument maker's to George III, William IV and Queen Victoria. Exhibited at Crystal Palace in 1851.
