A rare early Victorian solid silver vinaigrette in the form of a reticule with castle top, hallmarked Birmingham 1848. Formed in the style of a reticule with embosed floral decoration to the sides,... the hinged lid with desirable 'castle top' depicting Windsor Castle. Original square loop hanging chain with engraved finger ring. The hinged lid opening to reveal an engraved fretwork hinged cover to keep the scented sponge behind. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmith John Tounge along with hallmarks to all sections. A rare and collectable superbly detailed novelty silver item presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.75" wide x 0.6" deep x 1" high. Stock number tba
