A rare George VI period solid silver collapsible calling card case, hallmarked Birmingham 1938. Formed from four pieces of solid silver with thumb recess to one end and spring loaded hinges to all four sides gripping the cards in place; the case snapping flat when empty. Hanging loop to the top which twists to open the case allowing the cards to be placed inside. A short video of this case is available to view via our YouTube channel - click here. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths ...Deakin & Francis along with hallmarks to all sections. Presented in good condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.75" wide x 0.5" deep x 3.5" long.
