Rare Pair of Very Early Victorian Silver Spectacles

A rare pair of very early Victorian 'Keyzors Improved ' solid silver adjustable spectacles, hallmarked Birmingham 1839. The solid silver frames with length adjustable arms and fine circular lens frames to the front glazed with the original useable lenses. Folding hinged arms and locking mechanism for the arm extensions. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Thomas Millington, specialist in this type of item. Highly collectable, fine quality and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measure 4.5" wide x 1.5" deep x 5" deep with arms extended. Stock number 38636.
