A superb and difficult to find matching pair of silver chamber sticks and snuffers by Robert Hennell, hallmarked London 1848. The dished bases with engraved shield decoration, fine quality deep frette...d gallery to the sides with ring handle and thumb rest set to the sides. Candle holder to the centre with original matching wide rims to the top. Matching candle snuffer to each with shield crest engraved to the sides Each bears the makers mark for Robert Hennell, a highly regarded silversmith who was regarded as one of the best makers of his time. Each heavy quality and presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Each measures 5" diameter x 6" wide including handle x 3" high. Stock number 36987.
