Rare Georgian Laburnum Cased Cottage Longcase Clock
A rare George II period laburnum cased brass dial cottage longcase clock by George Whitley of Harborough C.1740. Engraved brass dial to the thirty hour movement with rare rack striking. Superb simple laburnum timber case with slim integrated hood pillars and dental moulded cornice. Wonderful origin polish and colour, small proportioned and very original. Fully overhauled movement. Measures 78" high. x 16" wide at the hood top x 9" deep.
