Rare George III Brass Candle Snuffers and Petal Base Stand
A rare George III pair of brass candle snuffers sat in the original petal base stand c.1760. The square base with clipped corners and circular inset rising to meet the seamed column set above.... Knuckle to the top supporting the cup design snuffer support, with small handle set to the side. The original cast brass snuffers sitting into the aperture; the points of the snuffers sitting through a hole in the base to hold them securely in position. Presented in excellent original condition with no damage, wear or repairs and with a rich polish. Measures 4.75" square at base x 8" high with snuffers in the holder. Snuffers measure 6" long. Stock number 39428.
