Rare George II Oak Hooded Wall Clock

A rare George II oak cased hooded wall clock with 7" brass dial by highly regarded lantern clock maker George Wood of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire c.1750.  The solid oak case with moulded cornice, Greek key design blind fretwork band below.  Slender turned yew wood columns sat either side of the glazed door with original glass. The backboard extending below the case with a shaped edge and hole for securing the clock.
