Rare Edwardian Long Handle Cast Silver Snuffer
A rare Edwardian cast silver long handled candle snuffer with hinged snuffer and turned fruitwood handle, hallmarked London 1910. Long silver stem with twin spheres to the end, the hinged snuffer head mounted to the end free swinging to allow use at different angles. The tappering cast snuffer head with flared reeded rim, flared mount to the opposite end of the stem adjoining the the handle. Finley turned long fruitwood handle set to the end. Bears the makers mark for London silversmiths Pairpoint Brothers along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Heavy quality and presented in immaculate... condition with a deep shine. Measures 24" long overall x 14" from snuffer to fruitwood handle x 1.25" at opening of snuffer. Stock number 41464.
