A George II period oak joint stool with carved top rail and original polish c.1740. Single plank top with scribed decoration and moulded edge, secured by pegs to the base. The top rail carved with decorative lunettes, turned slightly splayed legs set to the corners supported by moulded base stretchers. Superb original colour and polish, very sturdy and useable. Measures 18" long x 10.5" deep x 21" high. Stock number 38125.
