Pair of McIntyre Moorcroft Cornflower Vases
A superb matching pair of Moorcroft McIntyre cornflower vases signed William Moorcroft to the base c.1905. Each baluster shaped vase with narrow neck to the top and small loop handles to the sides. Both sides of each vase with tube lined cornflower design decoration. The backgrounds painted with an ochre wash with hints of teal blues to the handles; the flowers painted in rich dark reds with green foliage. Both vases with McIntyre's factory stamp, William Moorcrofts signature and retailers name Townsend & Co, Newcastle. Both vases presented in mint unrestored condition. Each m...easures 4" diameter at the base x 6" wide to outside of the handles x 9.25" high. Stock number 41142.
