A pair of fine heavy quality solid silver asparagus tongs in mint unused condition, hallmarked London 1903. The tapering cast silver sprung handle with superbly detailed cast decoration in the... Rocco style to the lower half and a reeded line forming a border to the loop top. The fretted tong ends with geometric design decoration and lined border to the ends; securing bar sat above. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith Josiah Williams & Co along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Weighs over 5.25 troy oz and presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 8.5" long x 2" wide gap between tongs x 1.25" deep. Stock number 41708.
