An outstanding quality Victorian Tunbridge ware table top chest with drawers to the interior c.1880. The caddy top decorated to outstanding quality with detailed Tunbridge inlays depicting an Abbey, which is framed with an intricate boarder. The chamfered surround also inlaid in matching Tunbridge flower and oak leaf decoration. Twin hinged doors to the front each with floral inlays set in satinwood panels surrounded by a complementing boarder. The walnut back and sides framed in ebony, rosewood and kingwood flag design boarders. Matching flag design plinth to the base with o...riginal stickware bun feet below. The doors opening with working lock and key to reveal an original fitted interior comprising of eight short drawers and one long drawer; each with floral decoration and original stickware knobs to match the feet. The interiors of the drawers lined with the original emerald green velvet. Presented in superb original unrestored condition with wonderful detail throughout along with a rich unfaded colour and polish. Measures 10.75" wide x 8.5" deep x 9.75" high. Stock number 40912.
