Outstanding Victorian Dutch Sterling Silver Tea Caddy
An outstanding quality Victorian Dutch Sterling silver tea caddy with embossed decoration and cast fittings with London import marks for 1861. The base with bombe shaped sides, embossed decoration depicting country scenes to all four sides, beaded rim to the base with small cast silver Rocco style feet to the corners and small handles to each side. Polished deep rim to the top with push fit cushion design lid above, decorated to match the base with cast handle to the centre. The lid removing to reveal a clean interior. Bears Dutch silver marks with 925 Sterling silver mark, and Lo...ndon date mark for 1861 along with the importers mark for Samuel Boyce Landeck. Fine quality and superbly detailed, presented in immaculate unused condition. Measures 4" wide including handles x 2.75" deep x 3.5" high. Stock number 41283.
