Outstanding Set of Eight Burr Walnut Chairs
An outstanding quality set of eight Queen Anne style inlaid burr walnut dining chairs with carved front legs c.1880. Each generously sized chair with shaped top rail and burr veneered central splat inlaid in fruitwood. The shaped seat with serpentine front, burr veneers to the side rails, cabriole legs set to the corners, each with decorative carved shoulders and a claw and ball foot. Splayed back legs with a hoofed foot, decorative shaped and moulded base stretcher supporting the legs. Drop in webbed seats with old green velvet upholstery. Each chair in perfect condition, very sturdy and usab...le. The woodwork in outstanding condition with a rich colour and original patina. Each chair measures 41" high at the back x 23.5" wide x 19" deep; with a seat height of 18.5". Stock number 37792.
