An outstanding quality Victorian serpentine and specimen marble obelisk thermometer by sought after maker Negretti & Zambra C.1885. The heavy circular domed base with small bun feet and ring turned p...linth, the domed section with a colourful mosaic of specimen marbles. The turned serpentine marble column with finial to the top and octagonal central column supporting the thermometer with bone scale and original mercury action thermometer in full working order. Bears the makers name Negretti and Zambra. A fine quality and imposing piece presented in superb condition with a deep shine. Measures 12" high x 6" diameter at the base. Stock number 35994.
