Outstanding Quality Marine Barometer with Crescent Thermometer
An outstanding quality Victorian cast brass cased bulk head marine barometer with porcelain enamel dial and crescent thermometer, fully restored and working c.1890. Heavy quality cast brass case with mounting flange to the rear and cast bezel to the front. Thick bevelled edge glass mounted in the bezel with centrally mounted reading marker. Porcelain enamelled dial weather predictions to the outer edge and original mercury action crescent thermometer reading in Fahrenheit to the bottom half of the dial. High quality rapid indicating aneroid movement fully serviced and working. Sat on a figu...re oak octagonal plinth with brass hanging mount to the top. Polished, serviced and fully working and presented in immaculate original condition. Measures 9.75" diameter with a 6" dial x 3.5" deep. Stock number 40358.
