An early Victorian coromandel dome top tea caddy with engraved brass bound exterior, outstanding in quality and condition c.1840. The choice cut coromandel veneered exterior with polished and ...engraved decorative brass bound decoration in immaculate condition, the domed top opening to reveal two matching domed top caddies marked green and black, each opening with spring loaded release buttons to the front (Click here to view video). Original lead foiled interiors. Engraved gilt brass hinges lock and fittings, along with the makers label for Baxter, London. Working lock and key, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 9.75" wide x 4.75" deep x 6.5" high. Stock number 39180.
