Outstanding Philips 14" Gesso Terrestrial Globe
An outstanding Phillips 14" gesso terrestrial globe on brass axis with superb cast iron foot c.1930's. The 14" gesso globe in superb condition with good colour and clarity, bears the makers label for George Philips & Sons, Fleet Street, London. Mounted on a brass axis to allow the globe to be rotated, and sat on a superb patinated cast iron tripod base with a decorative mask set to each side. Presented in excellent original condition with an original patina and no damage. Measures 24" high x 15" wide x 9" diameter at the base. Stock number 39158.
