Original William and Mary Period Walnut Chest on Stand
An original William & Mary period book matched figured walnut chest on stand C.1700. Moulded cornice above a three over three drawer chest sat on a moulded plinth topped stand with two square and one narrow drawer. Shaped apron below sat on decorative tuned legs supported by a shaped outer stretcher with bun feet below. Book matched veneers to the drawers, the edges with herringbone crossbanding. Original acorn drop handles with flower petal backplates, complimenting lock escutcheons. Excellent rich and even colour with a deep shine. Good original oak drawer linings. Measures 67" high x 41" ...maximum width x 21" deep. Stock number 36354.
