A superb original oil on board by sought after artist Brian Sheilds C.1978. Painted in typical Sheilds style depicting a late winters day city landscape with the smoking cimneys of industry in the bac...kground and the rooftops of terraced houses set in front. Figures to the foreground walking over parkland, the artist himself depicted in his striped jumper. Signed bottom left ' Braaq ' and dated 1978 and attributed to his late sister Ann. Excellent detail and smokey mood to the painting. Superb condition, presented in a quality contemporary black timber and gilt finish frame. Brian Sheilds born in Liverpool in 1951 (died 1997) and exhibited in London, noted by the Times of one of England's most successful six artists of his time. Now increasingly sought after and appreciating artworks. Measures 18" wide x 16" high including the frame. Stock number MB14
