A superbly painted Victorian oil on canvas ' The Goat Herder's Daughter' by Chester Wilson signed and dated 1875. Superbly painted against a moorland background, a young girl set to the centre with a boy sat beside her. Two goats in the foreground and two kids held by the boy and girl. Wonderful lifelike details throughout with rich bright colours, signed by the artist to the bottom right and dated 1875. Sat in the original timber gilt frame with original title label in the artists hand to the rear along with later gallery label. Presented in excellent condition. Measures ove...r all 28" wide x 32" high x 2" deep. Stock number 40193.
