A superior quality Victorian yew cased aneroid barometer with engraved silvered dial c.1880. Deep ring turned figured yew wood case sat around a fine quality silvered dial bearing the makers name Newton, London along with serial number, J & W Newton a highly regarded maker who can be traced back to sir Isaac Newton and renowned for there high quality instruments. Polished brass bezel with rear fastening and a bevelled edge glass with central reading marker. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and in full working order. Measures 6.5" diameter x 2.5" deep. Stock number 36977.
