A top quality Victorian oak cased 14" wheel barometer with silvered dial and crescent thermometer by highly regarded maker Negretti & Zambra, fully serviced and working c.1885. The broad turned solid English oak case with superbly carved oak leaf and acorn decoration. Engraved silvered dial with engine turned decoration to the centre and weather predictions sat around the outer edge; aneroid movement set behind. Cast brass bezel with glazed view window and centre reading marker. Presented in superb original condition, fully serviced and working with a rich colour and original patin...a to the casework. Measures 14" diameter x 8.5" dial diameter x 3" maximum depth. Stock number 41870.
