An early Moorcroft pomegranate pattern jar with Tudoric pewter rim and lid, signed William Moorcroft c.1920. Bulbous potted base decorated with a continuous band of tube lined pomegranates, some of... the fruit cut and showing the seeds. Superbly painted fruit in Autumn reds, oranges and soft greens set against a dark blue ground. Planished pewter rim with matching push fit pewter lid, finial forming the handle to the centre. The pewter stamped with Liberty's trademark Tudoric, the base signed in full by William Moorcroft. Presented in superb condition with no damage or restoration, small difficult to find firing bubble to base of the jar. Measures 7" high x 5.5" diameter. Stock number 39441.
