Moorcroft Leaf and Blackberries Flambe Bowl
A Moorcroft octagonal leaf and blackberries design flambe glazed bowl, signed William Moorcroft and in mint condition c.1930. The shallow bowl with circular inner and broad octagonal rim. The base of the interior decorated with tube lined blackberries set against a background of tube lined Autumn leaves. The berries painted in deep purples and the leaves in vibrant autumn reds and yellows. The front of the bowl with deep red flambe glaze and tones of brown showing through in the light, the underside with a light flambe glaze over soft greens and teal blue. Signed William Moorcroft to t...he base along with H.M. Potter to the Queen factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1930. Presented in immaculate perfect condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 6.75" diameter x 1.75" high. Stock number 42216.
