An early Moorcroft Claremont pattern squat vase c.1915. The squat design vase with small flared rim decorated with a continuous band of tube lined toadstools of varying sizes, sixteen in total. Dark b...lue fading to teal green ground with pale wash to the rim showing the colour of the clay, the toadstools colourfully decorated in deep reds, purples and pale yellows. Signed William Moorcroft to the base in green along with impressed Moorcroft factory marks. Presented in immaculate condition with no damage or restoration. Measures 4.5" wide x 3.5" high. Stock number 37533.
