Moorcroft Claremont Humidor
A superb early Moorcroft Claremont humidor and cover in mint condition c.1914. The slightly flared base with small ring turned base and rim. The peaked lid with finial knob to the top, sits inside the rim. The base decorated with a continuous band of tube lined toadstools painted in deep blues reds and purples with yellow highlights. The background and lid painted in a soft green. The lid lifting off to reveal an inner rim to the cover to hold a damp sponge with off white glaze, matching glaze to the base section. Signed William Moorcroft to the base in green and dated 1914. Presented in perfe...ct condition with no damage or repairs. Measures: 6.75" high x 4.25" max width. Stock number: 37537.
