Moorcroft Big Poppy Pewter Mounted Dish
A stylish Moorcroft Big Poppy design dish with Arts and Crafts design Tudoric pewter rim and handles for Liberty, signed William Moorcroft c.1920. The dish potted with a rounded edge foot and deep sides, the interior decorated with a large tube lined big poppy flower painted in desirable rusts and ochre tones set against a dark blue ground. The exterior decorated to match with a continuous band of tube lined poppies. Planished pewter rim with flat handles set to each side. Signed in full by William Moorcroft to the base and impressed Tudoric to the rear of rhe handles (Tudoric being L...iberty Londons trademark). Presented in perfect unrestored condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 5.75" wide including handles x 4" diameter x 2" high. Stock number 38918.
