A Mid 19th Century solid silver pot porri table top box. Hallmarked London 1851. Made by James Vickery. Engraved decoration to the pierced top with the inscription 'Deus Dabit Vela' set around a ship. Translating to 'God will fill the sails'. Crystal cut glass base. Top quality and condition. Measures 3.75" x 2.25" x 1.5"high. Stock no.32529.
