Leather Stack of Books Tantalus Box
A fine quality leather bound tantalus box in the form of a stack of books with original crystal decanter and glasses c.1920. The leather bound exterior in the form of a stack of five books with embossed decoration and gilt trim. The box opening with a brass stay to hold the lid open, the fitted interior holding a cut crystal decanter and stopper along with a set of six matching glasses. The crystal in mint unused condition and the case in excellent condition with a rich patina. Measures 10.75" wide x 9" deep x 9" high. Stock number 36906.
