Late Victorian Rosewood Sheraton Inlaid Banjo Barometer and Thermometer
A superb late Victorian rosewood Sheraton inlaid banjo barometer and thermometer with porcelain scale c.1890. Beautifully shaped solid rosewood case with decorative fruitwood garlands as inlaid design framing the barometer and thermometer, with an additional decoration of an urn to the base. The barometer with aneroid movement and porcelain dial sat behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with a centre reading marker. The mercury action thermometer with silvered scale. Fully overhauled movement in full working order, presented in immaculate condition with a rich colou...r and deep shine.
