Late Victorian Inlaid Mahogany Balloon Clock
A late Victorian inĺaid mahogany balloon shaped mantle clock with unusual ovoid top and superbly detailed inlays, fully serviced and working c.1890. The solid figured mahogany balloon shaped case with unusual ovoid top and moulded plinth to the base. Superb quality fruitwood and metal inays in the Art Nouveau style above and below below the dial. French 8 day movement with porcelain dial, 8 day Paris made movement with platform escapement sat behind. Presented in immaculate condition, fully serviced and working. 5" wide x 9.5" high x 3" deep.
